Saunaravintola Laine
A sauna restaurant planned for the Naistenlahti breakwater, with two saunas, a restaurant and year-round swimming in Lake Näsijärvi.
What to expect
Saunaravintola Laine is coming to the shore of Lake Näsijärvi on the Naistenlahti breakwater, next to the new Ranta-Tampella district. The two-storey building is planned to hold a panoramic sauna facing the lake and a harbour sauna, together seating around 65 bathers. There will also be cooling-off areas, terraces and café and restaurant services, and the restaurant is meant to be open to guests who are not using the sauna. An ice-swimming hole is planned for winter, usable separately from the sauna. The project is run by Ranta-Tampellan Sauna Oy, and its project address is Kekkosenkatu 18. The target is to open in summer 2027, but the exact opening date and practical details have not been confirmed. Saunaravintola Laine is not the same place as the M/S Laine sauna raft in Santalahti.
