What to expect
Lempee Sauna is a public sauna on the shore of Lake Pyhäjärvi in Mäyriä, Lempäälä, under half an hour by car from Tampere city centre. The building has two saunas with large panoramic windows: the bright, modern Kajo and Korpi, built from hand-hewn logs with three bench levels. The terrace has a hot pool and a cold pool, and from the jetty you can swim in the lake or, in winter, in an ice hole. Inside there is a lounge with a fireplace and a café. The saunas are mixed, so swimwear is required; changing rooms and showers are separate for men and women. No booking needed; a session lasts 1.5 hours.
