Härmälänranta Sauna
A public sauna planned for the new Härmälänranta beach, bringing several different sauna rooms and Finnish sauna traditions under one roof.
What to expect
A new sauna is being planned on the shore of Lake Pyhäjärvi by Fontellinaukio square and the new Härmälänranta beach, at the edge of Aaretti Nieminen Park. The project is run by Saunatemppeli Oy, known in Tampere for its yurt sauna. The plan is to build several saunas of different sizes and atmospheres under one roof, with an emphasis on Finnish sauna tradition and log construction. The operator has also mentioned a pier, ice swimming and spaces that can be booked for private use. A building permit has been applied for, but neither the start of construction nor the opening date has been confirmed. The prices and opening hours currently on Saunatemppeli's website are for its yurt sauna in Kaupinoja, not for this future sauna.
