Eteläpuisto Sauna Café
A sauna café planned for the Lake Pyhäjärvi shore of Eteläpuisto park in central Tampere; the early plan combines two saunas, a café and a swimming spot.
What to expect
A new public sauna café is being planned for the Lake Pyhäjärvi shore in Eteläpuisto park, close to Tampere city centre. The city's reference plan puts two sauna rooms, changing and washing rooms and a café of around 56 seats with terraces into a 330 m² building by the park square and the shoreline path. Swimming and winter swimming are part of the plans for the shore. This is still an early plan. The operator is to be chosen through a city tender, and the final building and services may change. Construction of the sauna and the surrounding park could begin from 2028, but no opening year has been confirmed.
